Profile Information

What is your CSE experience?
Developer, professional, engineer
About Me:
I'm an EE who started out in Analog Design and Communications systems. First job out of school was work on the G471 Super Computer for the government in Norwalk, CT - early 1980s. G471 was a parallel VLIW achitecture similar to the later Weitek and Multiflow VLIW architectures. Then worked at Canaan Computer in Trumbull Ct in the mid 80s on a 370 compatible mini. Moved on to parallel signal processors and varied projects while at Raytheon, then chip design at LSI Logic. Currently a consulting engineer in EE.
Most recent work has been in robotics and machine vision. Here's a link to a video showing a robotic pick and place system that I recently designed. It is what I would call a working prototype in that it works reliably but has not been turned into a commercial product. It has placed over one million parts since completion and has had very few problems, and required little maintenance: Link to Pick and Place Video: Pick and Place Video.
